Account contacts & Sub-accounts

Occasionally, a customer ticket needs to be sent to us here at Cherry Host. Security is our top concern, and if the ticket being submitted is not by someone directly listed in your account, we will take the time to verify they are permitted to use your account. Depending on the severity of this issue, that can slow things down. To get around this, we suggest creating account contacts and sub-accounts.

So, there is no confusion, a contact created by the customer will only receive emails. Usually, this includes announcements, order details, reminders and so forth. Sub-Accounts can have their own login and have as many or few options available as the main account holder.

Adding a new contact/Sub-account

Simply login to our client area.

There are two ways to get to the Contacts/Sub-Accounts

  • On the home screen of the client portal, there is a navigation panel off to the left that says “Contacts”. If you click on the +New Contact button, this will take you right to the Contacts/Sub-Accounts form.
  • Otherwise, you can click on the drop-down where it says “Hello,” scroll down to “Edit Account Details” and finally click on Contacts/Sub-Accounts.
  • There, you can type in a new contact & check off the emails they’ll be carbon-copied on.
  • Alternatively, if in the event you wish to have the sub-account to have client area access, you can do this here as well. You will specify what permissions this account will have access to plus you will define the password for this sub-account.
  • Press ‘Save Changes’ (If you change your mind, you can always click ‘Cancel’)

Removing a contact/Sub-account

So you decided that the person using the sub-account or someone that is listed as a contact no longer needs access. Perform the following to remove them:

  1. Make your way to ‘Update your Details’.
  2. Select ‘Contacts / Sub-Accounts’.
  3. In the drop-down list, select the contact or sub-account you are going to be removing.
  4. Scroll to the end and click ‘Delete contact’.
